Emergency Response Trainer (Casual)

TSG STAFFING SERVICES is currently recruiting for an EMERGENCY RESPONSE TRAINER for an Edmonton area-based opportunity in an industrial plant environment. This position is casual, working as needed, approximately 8-9 weeks in the spring, 4-5 weeks in the Fall.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Implement and maintain comprehensive emergency response training programs tailored to various audiences.
• Conduct training sessions utilizing a variety of instructional techniques, including simulations and hands-on exercises.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and changing regulations.
• Collaborate with organization leaders to identify training needs and establish a schedule for training sessions.
• Stay current with industry best practices, regulations, and emerging trends in emergency response and management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Fully trained Industrial Fire Fighter with Instructor certification including: NFPA 1001, 1006, 1072 HAZMAT and 1046.
• Proven experience in emergency response training and instruction.
• Strong understanding of provincial emergency management regulations and protocols.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience with training assessment and evaluation tools.
• Experience with large, older operating sites ideal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Self-motivated team player.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
