At TSG STAFFING SERVICES we are always recruiting in anticipation of our client’s future needs. As such, we are continuing to search for BUYERS for potential upcoming projects in the Edmonton Area.

Job Description:

  • Fully support Project activities with quick and flawless execution which includes purchasing material and expediting it to ensure it is ready for planned execution dates.
  • Identify materials purchased and coordinate evaluation and addition of materials to price agreements.
  • Working closely with the stakeholders to support future purchasing needs such as developing procurement strategy, RFI, RFP and demand forecasting.
  • Spend channel optimization to support ordering material through automated channels.
  • Process invoices promptly following the company procurement policy and procedures.
  • Supplier setup, updates and assist in the communication & implementation of new contracts.
  • Meet individual and department goals & objectives targets identified by management.
  • Development and execution of a contracts using strategy development, market intelligence, bid evaluation, KPI development, supplier landscape assessment, risk assessment, legal engagement, commercial negotiations, and supplier performance reviews.
  • Creating value through RFI, and RFP activities to bring innovation and create competition.
  • Perform additional tasks as defined by the Procurement Manager.

Job Requirements:

  • 5-10+ years of relevant experience in purchasing, strategic sourcing, strategic procurement, and/or supply chain.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • MBA/Master’s Degree would be an asset.
  • Procurement (SCMP/CPSM), Inventory Management (CIPS), Lean / Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence certificates highly preferred
  • High-level SAP / Ariba experience and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Proven record of training in data analytics, Excel, Ariba, SAP, procurement/supply chain processes, negotiation techniques, and contract content.
  • Ability to create value through stakeholder engagement, data & recommendations, contracts, and continuous improvement.
  • Results-driven mindset, with developing capabilities in problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • A high degree of ethics, discretion, honesty, fairness, and sound business practices.
  • Strong organizational, time management skills, and attention to detail.
